Dwaalkop is a 50:50 joint venture between Northam and Western Platinum (Lonmin) situated in Northern Limpopo.
Northam now owns a 50% interest in the Dwaalkop PGM joint venture along with Lonmin and community groups. Both UG2 and Merensky platinum reefs outcrop on these properties over a strike length of 4,500m and some 9Moz of PGM resource were defined by infill drilling to a depth of 1,000m.
