Construction of ventilation walls at Booysendal

Established in October 2022 at the Kiwi Farming Community, Mpumalanga Province, Leswika and Green (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black-owned company founded by Bonolo Lawrence Letageng. Initially starting with seven employees, the company faced challenges with consistency and financial stability, which impacted employee payments. The procurement department, with Booysendal operations, provided the company with more sustainable underground work opportunities, consistent procurement and work-based training. These interventions led to increased revenue and expertise in underground construction, including ventilation walls, concrete slabs and refuge bays. Leswika and Green has since expanded its workforce to 30 employees and ventured into manufacturing bricks for construction projects. The support received has significantly enhanced the company’s stability, enabling long-term planning, growth and development.
